FOCUS – KEY TO RISING ABOVE THE STORM 14 March

Topic: FOCUS – KEY TO RISING ABOVE THE STORM

Overview

SCRIPTURE: “But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.” – Matthew 14:30
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If your situation does not stop your dedication, then, your dedication must suffocate your situation.
Focus can be defined as concentrated effort or attention on a particular thing.

One of the major enemies of focus is fear. For as long as Peter focused on the Master, he walked on the water, but the moment he shifted his focus to the storm, he began to sink. No matter how violent the storm is, do not take your eyes off the Master. The devil wants your storm (challenge) to cut you off from God. But your greatest asset in times of storm is God. It does not matter what you lose, if you have not lost God you have lost nothing. Do not let the devil use any situation to stop your prayer life and the study of the Word.
Beloved, if your situation does not stop your dedication, then, your dedication must suffocate your situation. Do not allow any temporal thing to tamper with your relationship with God. God is not your God only because He gave you the good things of life; He is your God because He created you and made you in His image. So, if you must rise above the storms of your life, brutal trust and dogged focus on God are not optional.
Remember this: If your situation does not stop your dedication, then, your dedication must suffocate your situation
