TOPIC: THE REASON FOR LIVING

SCRIPTURE: You are the world's light – a city on a hill, glowing in the night for all to see.  – Matthew 5:14 (TLB).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One of the duties of the child of God is to show the world how to work.

 

The Bible is filled with the revelation of God’s purpose for our existence on the earth. Anyone who does not know how to study God's Word diligently is yet to know why he is alive. 

 

Our anchor Scripture clearly defines the reason God created you. We understand that you exist as a light-bearer and a road-pointer for the ungodly in your generation. 

 

One of the duties of the child of God is to show the world how to work. We are to show the people of the world how to be employers and employees because we are the light of the world and a city set on the hill which cannot be hid. 

 

We are expected to show the world how to serve; we are expected to be pace-setters and not pace-keepers. 

 

The challenge is that many children of God are being colonized by their unbelieving colleagues. This is not proper! 

 

People should see a Daniel and know what faithfulness at duty means. They should see a Joseph and know what it means to be a servant of God in the work place. In the same manner, people should see you and learn a positive principle from your life.

 

Remember this: one of the duties of the child of God is to show the world how to work.

 

ASSIGNMENT(S):

1. Make up your mind to be a pace-setter in your generation by the way you behave.

2. Shun every attitude and act of mediocrity in your life.

 

PRAYER: O LORD, I ask for the grace to live as a road pointer to the world. Let my life teach my world how to live in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: THE PRICE FOR GREATNESS

SCRIPTURE: And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: – Ephesians 2:6.

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is no flight without a fight

 

From our anchor scripture, the Bible makes it clear that the heavenly place is our place and position by the covenant. 

 

Therefore, the low places of the earth are not where we are meant to be. Mediocrity is not God’s purpose for the child of God.

 

The question is; why is it that many children of God are not on the top positions of life? 

 

The simple answer is, there is no flight without a fight. For instance, before an aircraft can take off, it engages in a fight; it fights the wind, gravity and its weight in order to take off. 

 

God’s servant, Bishop Oyedepo once said that there is no rise without a price. If you want to be at the top position in life, there is a price to get there. I have discovered that nothing can be possessed until it is pursued. 

 

Many children of God are not ready to pay the price for greatness; this is why even though they are destined to be great, they still remain in the low positions of life. 

 

There are no spiritual provisions without human conditions.

 

Beloved, make up your mind to pay the price in order to be great in life.

 

Remember this: There is no flight without a fight

2. Read and study about the secrets of great men on earth.

 

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to pay the price for greatness. Lift me from the low position of life in Jesus’ Name.
