SCRIPTURE: And the scripture
was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto
him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. – James 2:23
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Analysis of Divine instruction leads to the paralysis of destiny.
Abraham was an enviable patriarch in scripture that God identified
with. He walked with and was so intimate with God that he was called the
friend of God (James 2:23).
One notable secret of Abraham was dedication. Dedication to God gave Abraham the place he found himself in life. In Genesis 12:2-3, God told Abraham to come out of his father’s house and he obeyed.
Obedience is the key to eminence in life. Obedience to God makes
one prominent and relevant in life. Show me an obedient man and I will
show you a prominent and eminent man
Abraham obeyed God’s instruction to pray without ceasing. In Genesis 19:27,
Abraham would always get up early in the morning to stand before God at
the place of prayer. That was why in his generation, nobody was bigger
than him.
Our God is not a Respecter of persons but a Respecter of His
principles. Abraham obeyed the principles of God and he became great in
life. His name cannot be erased from history forever.
Beloved, determine to be like Abraham. Do not analyze Divine
instructions because analysis of Divine instruction leads to the
paralysis of destiny. Repent from every attitude of disobedience to
Divine instructions.

1.Repent from every act of disobedience in your life.
2. Make up your mind to obey God no matter the cost.
PRAYER: O LORD, I confess every act of disobedience in my life. Help me to obey You like Your Son Jesus did in Jesus’ Name.
