TOPIC: INVOLVING GOD THROUGH PRAYER
SCRIPTURE: And David inquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. – 1 Samuel 30:8
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayer is very important when starting a venture in life.
In our world today, many people do many things without involving God. They embark on serious life decisions; the decision to start a business, ministry or marry someone without prayer or Divine involvement. That is the pathway to disaster.
Before I stepped into ministry, I had to seek the Face of God in prayer and fasting. Also, when I wanted to get married, I prayed to know the person and also prayed to know the date of the wedding.
Prayer is very important when starting a venture in life.
For instance, when you are about to begin a marriage process, you need to pray, “Lord, I do not want to go into this marriage by myself, I invite You to go with me into this marriage.” In the same manner, when you are about to start a new business, you have to pray: “O God, I do not want to start this business all by myself, I want You in it.” In each instance, you invoke the Presence of God.
Beloved, through prayer you connect your marriage and business with His Presence. Therefore, pray before you embark on any venture in life.
Remember this: Prayer is very important when starting a venture in life.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Involve God in everything you do by embarking on prayer of enquiry.
2. Be patient with God to get an answer before moving forward.
PRAYER: O LORD, help me to be passionate for You and Your Presence. Draw me closer to You daily, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
